the 6.9 has Suspension Hydropnumatique, provided the lines and the proportioning valves (there are tricks for the valves if they are a problem...) are OK, It Just Works. $4500 is a SMOKING deal for a 6.9 (as long as the engine is good -which it should be unless it was run dry of oil- and the interior isn't trashed...)
